Welcome!
If I may share a little about myself, I am an ambitious young lady whose journey began in my hometown of Abeokuta, Nigeria. As a young person, I was inspired by many people, especially legendary track stars such as 14-time 800m World Champion Maria Mutola. As a youngster my passion for running enabled me to set the Nigerian junior record in both the 800m and 1500m.
In order to pursue my running dreams after high school I came to the United States where I found the transition tremendous. It began when I secured a track scholarship from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. However, despite my initial good fortune, due to an NCAA clearing-house issue I was unable to compete and showcase my talents for the school. Nevertheless, I summoned the courage to forge ahead.
After a year of studying without sport at Gardner-Webb, I found myself fortunate enough to transfer to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), a Division 1 school which presented more challenges, both academically and athletically.
